Prayer Calendar | Ukraine

11 May - 17 May 2025

The season of summer Christian camps is beginning in Ukrainian churches

The season of summer Christian camps is opening across Ukrainian churches. Please join us in prayer for safety during the camps, for strength and wisdom for the leaders and teams, for sufficient funding, and for meaningful programs. Pray also for all participants who will hear the Word of God—that their hearts would be receptive soil for growth and fruit. Our goal is to introduce participants to Christ through fellowship, activities, and teaching, and to encourage them to grow in their knowledge of God. We pursue this through Bible study, building close relationships with campers, and through the personal example of leaders who reflect the character of Christ.

Planned Camps:

1. Camps for families of fallen and missing persons In Ukraine, due to the war, there are over 90,000 people officially listed as missing. The exact number of families of fallen soldiers is unknown, as official data is not publicly disclosed, but it is estimated to be in the tens of thousands. Women who have experienced profound loss have shared that during our previous camps, they were able—if only for a short time—to step away from daily pain and burdens, and to be among people who understand without many words. These camps create space for tears and memories, for hugs and support, for prayer and quiet hope.

2. Camps for children from family-type orphanages

Within Baptist churches, 112 family-type orphanages have been established, where more than 1,000 children live.

3. Camps for displaced children

Currently, nearly 900,000 children (under 18) in Ukraine are officially registered as internally displaced persons (IDPs). In total, there are more than 4.6 million IDPs in the country.

4. Camps for children and teenagers

Last year, such camps reached up to 72,000 children, with 991 camps held.

5. Camps for women and girls

These are spaces for spiritual renewal, rest, and fellowship, often organized in the mountains or at church locations. Programs typically include Bible study, shared prayer, creative workshops, and outdoor activities.

6. Youth camps and festivals

Last year, the nationwide youth festival “Create with the Creator” gathered around 1,000 participants. Young people are seeking fellowship, growth, new connections, cooperation, and opportunities to share ministry experience during the war.

Please also continue to pray for:

  • The establishment of a lasting and just peace;

  • Comfort and healing for all who have lost loved ones in the war;

  • Protection of life and health for those defending Ukraine;

  • The development of missionary ministry in Ukraine and the spiritual revival of the nation.

We sincerely thank every prayer partner for your compassionate heart toward the churches and people of Ukraine.

May God richly bless you!
