Pray for new church planting. Slovak Baptist Union sees new churches as vital. At the moment, there is one about to become a church. We are grateful for that, and we'd love to see more.
Pray that the old churches will be revitalised. Some of them decrease their number of members, and we seek a new vision and purpose.
Pray for us as we start a discussion on how to be better stewards of the funds we get from our government. This discussion may lead to a conclusion that will be unpopular with some within our Union, but we believe that our generosity and giving should be increased and depend less on state money.
Pray for the next generations. The next generations are essential in carrying the Gospel forward. We've had some plans to renew youth ministry, but, quite unexpectedly, these plans came to a halt. We are looking for new opportunities to equip those who work with children and young people within our churches.
Pray for the churches for such a time, as the churches will not be the same when the COVID-19 is over. We need to listen to people in and outside our churches and adjust methods to serve them and spread the Good News adequately.
