Prayer Calendar | Lebanon & Syria

16 - 22 February 2026

LEBANON

If the EBF family opened the prayer newspaper tomorrow, what headline would represent your country? “Turmoil, Uncertainty, but Plenty of Opportunities.”

  • Pray for church plants that are growing slowly but surely.

  • Pray for churches facing challenges, especially those in non-Christian areas that are even experiencing threats.

  • Pray that, despite these threats, people will hear the gospel and be touched by its message.

  • Pray for the Baptist community as it faces growing pains and is challenged by a number of social and cultural issues.

  • Pray that we will stay focused on the tasks ahead as we face the potential of war between Israel and Hezbollah.

SYRIA

If the EBF family opened the prayer newspaper tomorrow, what headline would represent your country?

"Syria at a Crossroads"

Syria has witnessed, in the past year, an earthquake in every sense of the word. Fifty years of oppression, injustice, and corruption have caused pain and tears for 14 million people, more than half of Syria's population. Then came the war. Fourteen years were enough to drive most of the youth and university graduates to emigrate. This led to despair and sadness entering every heart and home. But on December 8, 2024, the situation changed, and there was a transformation that brought hope to many. However, the road is long, and the dangers are great and many. Yet, we have great hope that the Lord will give the Church a great work and role.

Pray with us:

  • ...that this change in the government be by God's arrangement, and this is our faith.

  • ...that God works in the hearts of those in power to lead Syria toward a state that respects humanity and grants freedoms.

  • ...that the Church realizes its responsibility in serving reconciliation, making peace, and healing wounds.

  • ...for the Church and partners around the world to support and stand by the suffering Church in Syria.

  • ...that the Lord raises up servants to replace those who have travelled, as the harvest and the needy are many.

  • ...that the Lord would provide for the livelihood of church pastors and those serving due to the rising costs of all materials and needs.

  • ...that God opens the minds of the people and they recognize the difference between the Lord Jesus and what He has done for them, compared to other beliefs and religions and what they have caused in terms of disasters and wars.

  • ...that He preserves those who have believed from persecution by their relatives and sects, who do not want them to follow Jesus.

Finally, we invite you to visit the Church in Syria and participate in the service to a community thirsty for a touch of mercy.
