As Italian Baptist Union we are grateful to all the wider EBF family for your closeness and your support in prayer.
Pray for migrants and for victims of wrecks in the Mediterranean.
Pray for women, children, young people from different African countries who flee Libya, where they are treated in an inhumane way in risking their lives while crossing the Mediterranean on insecure boats for a future of freedom and human dignity.
Pray for common legislation in Europe to protect human hospitality.
PRAY FOR SEASONAL MIGRANT WORKERS IN ITALY
In particular in Southern Italy seasonal migrant workers for the harvest of tomatoes, fruit, olives are treated in an inhuman way and exploited without any rights and social protections living in xenophobic social contexts.
PRAY FOR THE VICTIMS OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Pray for marginalised people affected by Covid and excluded from the health system.
PRAY FOR THE VICTIMS OF HOMOPHOBIA, XENOPHOBIA, VIOLENCE, ANTI-SEMITISM
In Italy cases of hatred, xenophobia, gender-based violence, anti-Semitism, homophobia, mortification of the disability are increasing. In total, in the last decade throughout the country, there have been more than three thousand episodes in which the element of discrimination emerged, clear and unequivocal.
PRAY FOR RELIGIOUS FREEDOM
In Italy, religious freedom is guaranteed to the Catholic Church and to a few religious confessions, including our Union. The majority of other religious denominations are governed by the fascist laws of 1929 which attribute unconstitutional discretionary powers to the Ministry of the Interior, in particular in matters of ministers of worship, places of worship, weddings, visits to prisons and hospitals.
PRAY FOR THE VICTIMS OF VIOLENCE AND TORTURE IN ITALIAN PRISONS
Pray for prisoners to be treated humanely respecting their dignity and that the penalties are effectively oriented towards the re-education of the condemned.
Pray for Baptist Churches in Italy mission and vision in this time of the pandemic, to be creative and faithful, thankful and prophetic.
