ISRAEL:
Holding on to Hope: The Church Continuing to Serve in Challenging Times
Give thanks to the Lord for His protection and faithfulness, and that churches and ministries are able to gather and serve again.
Pray for peace in Israel and throughout the region, and for all those who continue to suffer because of the war and its consequences.
Pray for children and families who are still carrying the emotional and practical effects of the war, that they would experience healing, stability, and hope.
Pray for young people to grow in their faith, remain close to the Lord, and stand firm in their identity in Christ amid the pressures and challenges around them.
Pray for the children reached through VBS this summer, that the Gospel seeds planted in their hearts will continue to grow and bear lasting fruit.
Pray for pastors, leaders, teachers, youth leaders, and volunteers, for strength, wisdom, encouragement, and perseverance as they continue to serve.
Pray for an end to organized crime and violence within Arab society, which has created deep fear and insecurity in many communities. Pray for protection, comfort for families who have lost loved ones, and freedom from fear. Pray that churches will have wisdom and courage to be a presence of peace, hope, and light.
Pray for the elections on 27 October, for wisdom and discernment, and for positive change that brings greater hope, security, and a better future for Arab society in Israel. Pray for a government that will work sincerely toward peace, justice, and a better future for all people in the land and throughout the region.
Pray for ABC (Association of Baptist Churches), for wisdom and direction as they look ahead, and for God's provision of the partnerships and resources needed to continue and develop their ministry.
Pray that churches will continue to faithfully reflect Christ, bringing His hope to children, young people, families, and communities around them.
PALESTINE:
Pray for Peace in Palestine and for Christ to Reign in Their Hearts!
Pray for provision for ongoing ministry and outreach needs, including Sunday school expenses, church expenses, and other programmes.
Pray for financial support as changes in the exchange rate between the Israeli shekel and the US dollar since the war began on 7 October 2023 have resulted in a loss of approximately $1,200 per month. Pray for the resources needed to continue the many ministries in the area.
Pray for families in Ramallah and the West Bank who have been receiving regular food boxes since October 2023. Each food box costs between $150 and $200, depending on the available budget. Pray for continued provision to support these families.
Pray for families in Gaza who are urgently in need of food. Give thanks for the trusted Christian partner who distributes food vouchers to families, and pray for the resources needed to continue this vital support.
