EGYPT

• Pray for religious freedom in Egypt, that government leaders and faith communities would continue to work together to uphold the rights and dignity of every citizen.

• Pray for peace and understanding among different religious communities, that God would raise up bridge-builders and help all people "seek peace and pursue it" (Psalm 34:14).

• Pray for the 28 Baptist churches in Egypt and for President Khalaf Barsum, that God would bless their ministry, strengthen their witness, and guide them as they pursue the vision God has given them.

  

BAHRAIN Bahrain is a small peaceful country that never assaulted any of its neighbours, but we have been under Iranian bombardment by missiles and drones since the first day of the war. Sirens sound is heard throughout the day, the bombing hit not only the military bases but also, unfortunately universities, hotels, residential areas, water desalination facilities and a major oil refinery besides fuel depots.

The daily life of people has been severely affected by schools moving online, and most employees have moved online, and businesses are still suffering.

Bahrain, as an island, is dependent on the airport to get most of its supplies, which has been closed for many weeks since the beginning of the war till recently. Our supplies were shifted to come through a causeway between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

Churches also moved online for many weeks as the government recommendations were not to gather many people in buildings for public safety.

The church lifted prayers for Bahrain and gathered online for worship and prayers, supporting and encouraging each other. When public gatherings returned, we had many prayer and worship nights in the church, inviting many families to share.

The church shared in the relief efforts, reaching out to those who were affected by the war, from families to individuals. Also, the expat workers who were in need of daily supplies or those who lost their income.

Please join us in prayers:

• Pray for the kingdom and the people of Bahrain for the Lord’s protection.

• Pray for the Lord's wisdom and guidance for our church and the elders leading the church through this crisis.

• Pray for the church mission to reach out, being able to give hope and support to the people of Bahrain and to meet the needs of those who are affected by the war, sharing the gospel of peace among the people.

• Pray for the war to end soon, that the bloodshed and destruction in the whole region would end and that our countries will be able to live in peace once again, rebuilding what the war destroyed.

  
  

We do trust that the Lord of Peace is the answer for all the conflicts in our region.
