A Call to Unceasing Prayer and Unshakable Hope

We continue to lift our hearts in prayer for peace in the Palestinian territories and in Israel. Though the conflict brings daily suffering and much of life has come to a standstill—travel halted, humanitarian aid delayed, communities torn—the Church remains steadfast. It does not stop. It grows. It shines.
Amidst the pain, we continue to receive testimonies of God’s faithfulness—prayer requests filled with hope and stories of His presence in the most difficult moments.
I urge you: pray without ceasing. Lift up the ministry of our beloved Dr. Mounir and Sharon, and all those faithfully serving alongside them. Let us also remember the Baptist Council members, who continue to stand together in support and service.
Courageous church-planting families remain in the field, serving selflessly and bringing light to dark places. Today, we hear from one of these beautiful families whose ministry is transforming the lives of children and entire communities. Their dedication, even in the face of turmoil, is a testimony to the unstoppable power of the Gospel. In the midst of hardship, the Church continues to grow—not just in number, but in faith, hope, and love. Each gathering becomes a beacon of joy, a glimpse of the peace that only Jesus can bring. And this hope is carried by your prayers, your encouragement, and your support.
Together, we are part of a movement that no war can silence: the Body of Christ alive, growing, and filled with His unshakable hope.
Report from our Church Planters, Basel & Gaida
We continue to hold weekly meetings, including gatherings for children, youth, and women, to strengthen and establish them in the faith. We have faced persecution and defamation from some individuals, which has affected the services and led to fewer people attending the meetings, especially children and youth. However, with God’s help and our faith in Him, we are persevering. We have felt His presence and are encouraged by the fruit we are harvesting in His field.
We continue to make home visits to encourage and comfort families in their faith. Fear still lingers in the community. However, people are open to hearing the Word of God. They are drawn to Bible studies and constantly ask us to return and discuss the Scriptures with them.

“Many people come to visit my home, but today was a different visit…”
We held special celebrations to encourage the women and invite new ones. We continued our weekly meetings where we pray, sing, read the Bible, and encourage the women to do the same with their families. We always end by praying for their homes. These activities have strengthened the bonds of sisterhood among the women.
After one home visit, Sister “H” thanked us for praying in her home. She said,
“Many people come to visit my home, but today was a different visit—like Jesus visiting the house of Zacchaeus, the tax collector.”
She encouraged us to return and pray in her home again.
A Special Year for Our Youth
It was a special year for our youth. Many of them came to know God better, deepened their relationship with Him, and accepted Him as their personal Saviour. We witnessed real changes in their lives as their love for God and others grew.
The Testimony of a Child Called “R”
She is one of the children who graduated from Sunday School and is now part of the youth group. The children’s program has transformed many areas of her life. She said,
“I love coming to learn more about God and what He wants for my life.”
With the Ongoing War Causing Many Economic Problems...
Before the start of the school year, we distributed more than 60 school bags, including stationery, to children in the club and to families in need. These distributions are part of many activities we carry out throughout the year, especially in light of the ongoing war that continues to cause economic hardship.
We also distributed 50 food parcels to 50 families to help ease their suffering in these unstable times.
Let us keep praying for the “D” Family,
Gaida, Basel, and their little son “E”

Prayer Requests from Basel & Gaida
Please join us in prayer:
That God would clearly reveal His vision and lead us according to His perfect will.
For divine wisdom in navigating challenges and sensitive conversations, especially during home visits.
That the Holy Spirit would strengthen, comfort, and root us deeply in faith—especially in times of trial.
For unity among our team—youth, families, and volunteers—as we serve together in love and support.
That God would bless and expand every ministry effort, meeting the needs of those we serve.
For peace in our region and relief for those still suffering after over a year of conflict.
May His hand be seen mightily at work among us. Amen.
